The Lowa Alpine SL GORE-TEX boots perform like a pro in the mountains and are making a strong impression on mountaineers. They feature the polyurethane collar which is now sprayed onto the tough synthetic material to reduce weight. A carbon cuff and an extremely lightweight Vibram-Alp-Trac-SL sole further reduce weight. The end result is a colourful Alpine boot that weighs only 550 grams per boot. While reducing weight, the mountaineering boot experts took stability into account. Other key details include a functional dual-zone lacing system and a waterproof GORE-TEX lining.

Technology:
– VIBRAM ALP TRAC SL
Lightweight member of the alpine performance soles thanks to Vibram Litebase technology. Precise movement on steep rock faces and solid grip are produced by the moderately high tread depth of the lug arrangement which has been designed in particular for alpine terrain and a large “climbing zone” at the tip of the sole. The result: less weight despite high performance.
– GORE-TEX
Garments made with GORE-TEX deliver maximum comfort and protection for a wide range of activities and weather conditions, featuring lasting wind-resistance, water-resistance and breathability.
– Two-zone laces
Thanks to the two-zone lacing system used, the forefoot and upper have their own separately adjustable lacing zones. As a result, the shoe can be individually adapted to the anatomy of the foot and laced in different ways for ascents and descents.
– Close to the ground
LOWA uses CLOSE TO THE GROUND technologies to create a good surface feel. The sole is designed in such a way that ground clearance is kept to a minimum. Minimised height throughout the shoe creates a natural feel during challenging runs and provides a stable base on uneven terrain.
– Near the rock
People venturing into alpine terrain face many challenges. Loose rock fields, rocky outcrops and rough terrain place the highest demands on shoes. For this reason, LOWA uses CLOSE TO THE ROCK technologies in the ALPINE SL GTX to create a good feeling on the rock. The toe area of the shoe is designed in such a way that the distance to the rock is kept to a minimum.
– Strap adjustment
The minimalist lacing strap for ALPINE SL GTX produces the highest level of functionality and maximum weight reduction. The two directly intertwined bands are easy to tie and the cord is perfectly threaded. When selecting the material, LOWA focused on the durability and hardness of the belts.
– Minimal seams
Seams and overlapping materials are eliminated by the use of large pieces to form the upper. This reduces the possibility of pressure points, a feature that improves comfort.
– Lowa Reptex
LOWA REPTEX prevents the upper material of the ALPINE EVO GTX from being damaged by objects such as sharp rocks. Compared to rubber, the effective reinforcement reduces the overall weight and increases performance in the mountains.
