The Mammut Ducan High GORE-TEX boots are designed for hiking and multi-day trips. In addition, the GORE-TEX membrane ensures waterproofness and breathability. The core of these boots is the Mammut Flextron technology, which integrates a steel sole as a midsole in the shoe. This prevents foot deviation and at the same time provides better vertical support, resulting in more efficient use of energy for walking and climbing. The Mammut Georganic 3D technology ensures natural foot movement. The dynamic geometric design is combined with organically adapted cuts in the foot. The focal point is the anatomical last which, together with the asymmetric lace, provides a very good fit.

Garments made from GORE-TEX fabric provide maximum comfort and protection in a wide range of activities and weather conditions. GORE-TEX membrane is water and wind resistant ensuring no water gets in while allowing your feet to breathe. How is this achieved? Its pores are 20,000 times smaller than raindrops, but 700 times larger than water vapour molecules. In this way, water cannot get in but perspiration can get out and the skin can breathe. Each membrane is tried and tested in the harshest weather conditions.

This technology creates a barefoot feeling that supports the natural anatomy of the foot and relieves pressure. The core of the technology is a spring steel sole integrated into the midsole and placed directly on the insole. Its longitudinal flexibility supports the correct rolling behaviour of the foot. The lateral stability of the sole avoids pressure on the arch of the foot. This promotes an anatomically correct position of the foot, as well as better posture – for more natural movements and more efficient use of energy.

The double density polyurethane outsole gives the shoes their lightweight and resistance. A comfortable and lightweight sole composed of a compact polyurethane outsole for good grip on uneven ground and with a tread pattern that automatically expels mud from wet and muddy autumnal trails, and an expanded polyurethane insole which cushions impact, preventing injury to the knees, ankles and hips. It is a very comfortable and flexible sole that adapts perfectly to the way your foot moves.
