The Salewa Alptrek 55+10L backpack is a comfortable trekking backpack made of lightweight, highly abrasion-resistant nylon, with a fully adjustable carrying system and a high 55-liter capacity. It has been designed for trekking and long distance activities, such as Alta Via routes. If you need to carry more equipment, there is an option to add another ten litres through the height-adjustable removable lid compartment, which also serves as a separate carrying bag. The Dry Back Custom loading system is easy to adjust, with a customizable length in the back, plus individually designed padded shoulder straps and belt.

In addition, compression straps ensure optimal adaptation to the back over long distances, while pre-formed side stabilizers guarantee a close fit and good load transfer at the hips. The large pockets provide plenty of space for spare clothes or tent poles. There is a double access (front and top) to the main compartment to have easily and quickly all your material at hand (so you don’t have to spend an hour to find your toilet bag). It has an outlet for the hydration system, ice axe/stick holder, rope lock, load control straps and side compression straps. It is also compatible with the Salewa hydration bag holder.
